Attaching Vinyl Graphics to Painted MDF?
« on: November 07, 2014, 01:51:28 pm »
Hi Guys,

I've got my MDF bartop assembled, primed with Kilz primer, and painted with Rustoleum Satin Black.

I'm using vinyl graphics from Lucian.

Should I do anything to prep the (dry) pained MDF, or can I simply apply the graphic directly to the painted MDF?

Thanks so much!

Should stick just fine.  Just make sure it is completely cured.  If you have any roller fuzz bumps, or similar, where the vinyl is going, use a sharp razor blade to shave them down.  Any debris or raised spots at all on the surface will show in the vinyl.
