MAS stick blues
« on: November 29, 2003, 10:20:15 pm »
Hi Fellahs,

A while back, I bought a MAS stick so I could play old fighters like Street Fighter 2 the world warrior, Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Shodown ecd.

The problem I have is I got a perfect 360 stick. At the time, I heard perfect 360's were the absolute best. But, I've used it enough with these old games and it sucks. Later on someone told me that perfect 360's did not work well with old games, the very ones I bought it for.

So, I've been using an X-Arcade with it's replica super. It's a pretty good stick. But, I feel my MAS is much better all around. It's just I need a ultimate instead of a perfect 360 inside.

I'm guessing my only option is to send it back to MAS and get it changed. But, that will cost me over $60...money I do not have. I know some people will say to change the stick myself, but I have no clue how to do that and I don't want to do anything with tools. I've opened up my sticks before, and I don't do well at it...not unless it is really easy. If there's any soldering or stuff, no way I can do it.

My question is, is there anyone in NYC who could do this task for me at a cheap price? Or, can you offer any good advice? I've got this kick ass MAS stick here, but I've barely touched it and it's collecting dust. :(

Thanks for your help.
