Sega Model 3 Shifter Issue – Loose 3rd & 4th Gears
« on: February 08, 2025, 12:04:29 pm »
Hi,

I have two Sega 4-speed shifters from a Twin Model 3 cabinet. They work, but shifting into 3rd and 4th gear feels loose, and the center position sometimes triggers the 2nd or 4th gear switch.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Thanks!

There are soft plastic tube bumpers inside the thing, and those are usually cracked and/or broken from decades of abuse.  You'll have to take it apart and investigate.

I'm not sure you can buy those parts anywhere....     get a 3d printer and some TPU (flex) filament.
