Here's one possible way to work around the vibration problem.

Instead of having the projector permanently mounted in the control panel, make a projector docking bay for storage/transport.

When you set the system up, put the projector on one stable surface (like a microphone stand with a platform on top) and the control panel on a different surface. (like a musician's keyboard stand)

That's what I'm thinking. It might need to be done just to say it's been done. It is a cool concept even if execution doesn't quite work out.  Plus PL1's idea can be used for the shelf if it doesn't work.  I could attempt to modify the pedestal to dampen vibration but I'm not sure there would be a good way to do it. I saw a different forum where someone made something similar and claimed it wasn't an issue but that post seems pretty dead so I don't think I can follow through to see if he changed his mind. I suppose I could find a way to suspend the projector but that seems like overkill.

For now it will be a normal projector (I already have an old one) but I'm hoping to make use of a short throw in the long run to help cut down on the distance needed.

Really like this build!  Been looking for a simple base for my 4P pedestal and this looks like it.

Quick question, with a 2 x 2 base like you have, has it been fairly stable over the years?  Would you make it larger if you built again?

Well done! Nice work all round.  :applaud: :applaud:

I built more or less the same cabinet.  Stability has never been an issue, and I've had four obese men pounding TMNT simultaneously.
