Help with NANAO MS8 setup @ 24khz
« on: August 04, 2014, 06:27:58 am »
Hi guys

I have to admit I'm a real beginner with this CRT stuff but I'm trying to get a Nanao MS8-26 @ 24kHz on a HD4870 running CRT_EMU win 7. I'm mainly aiming for sega model 2/3 and some nebula in 512x384 but maybe some pc games also if its possible.

I've followed all the instructions but am unable to find the desired resolution in windows or arcade ocd (1024x768@60i)

I have set vmmaker.ini set to EGA and also tried CUSTOM with the ms9 settings and have anycatalyst set to 1

I thought I was me so I removed all the video drivers and started from the beginning with the 15kHz jumper on the board and got it running without a problem just to test it, But now I went back to the 24kHz jumper setting and started fresh and same problem

If some one could walk me through were I'm going wrong any help would be greatly appreciated

Thankyou

Hi oilchanges,

Have you checked inside Modelines.txt and seen the required modelines actually created?
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

It should be in the same folder where vmmaker is.

ok so i just realised that you need to have the mame directories in the vmmaker.ini file to create modelines.txt file  :banghead: and all the modelines have been created where do i go from there?

Once the modelines are created (paste the contents of Modeline.txt here so I can check) then you should be able to use those resolutions, by means of ArcadeOSD.
