What model of PS2 wheel?  The logitech ones work great.
You have to enable joystick in mame.ini

crtrrss:
It is a Pelican Cobra TT. Ill try to enable it

crtrrss:
Where is the mame.ini file located

Drnick:
It should be in the same folder as mame.exe,

Do the following if you dont have the ini file.

As for the ini file you need to run a cmd prompt,
Click start, Run, type in CMD and then click ok.
type X: and press return (Where X=whichever drive letter mame is installed on)
then go to the folder mame is in. this is done by using CD\XXXX  then press return. (Where xxxx = folder location, ie Hyperspin\emulators\mame
You then type mame -cc hit return and this should create the ini file.
Type exit and press return to close the open cmd prompt window.

You should now have a mame.ini file which you can edit using notepad.
