Mine arrived today and I am very impressed with the saturation and brightness, they really are strong little light cannons.
I'm struggling to get the projector to use the whole field for the image though. Every resolution I send through VGA seems to float within a black border. As a result there's no way I could get 60” from 24" as advertised. Anyone else managed to get the full picture filled? I've tried all the aspect settings but it seems to top out at a 4:3 image at max height rather than 16:10

What resolutions have you tried? I think the only way to use the entire field would be to output the 1280x800 native resolution, and select the "through" aspect. Even that may be processed for keystone correction, but the dimensions should stay the same. 16:9 aspect content, using the "full" aspect, seemed to fill the frame for me, but it was through S-video at the time. I'll have to look again to see for sure.

This is a 16:10 projector, what will happen if I use a 16:9 screen?
griffindodd:
Just a little cropping top and bottom brian
Worked out the image issue. On the unit itself there are separate wide and telephoto buttons, punched it all the way out to wide and now its using the full projection area.

Just wanted to note that the Chinese have entered the projection screen market since I purchased mine. There are some very good prices on 120" 16:9 screens on ebay, and they are motorized with a remote.
Here's one which claims to ship from the US and is very reasonable. Offers both beaded and matte white as an option. This particular projector would probably work well with a beaded screen, considering the angles, and increase the brightness.
