I just stumbled across this while looking to find a cheap down and dirty projector, figured I'd better share the love after buying one myself...

That is a sweet looking deal. Especially a 60" image from 2' away is badass. Trigger would have been pulled if it had hdmi.

good day.

Can't say I have tried one but that's an affordable HDMI to VGA+optical audio out converter.

Thanks for posting this deal.  This thing screams projection arcade machine, with the short projection distance, built in audio and VGA inputs.  This is definitely a better deal than the cheap imported jobs, and it offers a lot more.

I'm in!

*edit*

Not sure how it's doing the scaling for widescreen, unless it crops top and bottom, but the native resolution of 1280x800 should make for some fairly perfect CPU scaling of 320x200 content, with enough left over to provide some anti-aliasing and/or scanline effects.  Could be very interesting....

Yeah man glad I could help out, I actually ended up buying two for my pinball project, I'm going to be trying to use them to project all of the game's side art onto the sides of the base cabinet from within, should be a fun challenge.
