Help me identify this Cab
« on: November 05, 2003, 08:01:08 pm »
Can somebody help me identify this cab?  It is definitely a Capcom dynamo cab, but not sure what that control panel art corresponds to...  doesn't look custom to me.

Also, what would be a fair price for this thing, assuming the monitor is non-working, and the inside is gutted... (no hardware)

TIA

The CPO looks fairly generic to me. Gutted and with a dead monitor I'd say $25 to $50, depending on the cabinet's overall condition.

Looks like a converted Buster Bros. cab to me. What has it been converted to ? God only knows. Probably some lame fighter that wasn't half as good as the game that originally came with the cab.  ::) The joystick/button configuration doesn't ring any bells in my memory banks. Probably some operators feeble attempt to make the game look interesting to attract suckers.  :P  $100.00 range at best. From the looks of that cabinet color scheme it seems the artist was inspired by a baseball uniform from the Houston Astros of the 1980s'.  Gross with a capital G. All kidding aside I hope you get whatever you decide to ask for it. :)

You are selling it aren't you ? Or did I read it wrong and you're looking to buy it ? Either way probably around a hundred bucks.

I would tend to agree with everyone. With NO monitor, NO power supply, and no game board then $100 would be about right.

It better be in darn nice condition to be worth $100 with a bad monitor and no game inside. I probably wouldn't want to pay more than $30 for it like that.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Looks to me like its already been mamed or started to be. There is a extra button above the 6 button layout on each player, maybe credit buttons?

Lots of things to check-
  • Are the coin door and mechs are in working condition?
  • Are the joysticks and buttons newer? Do they work?
  • Is the cabinet overall solid without moisture damage?
  • Do you like this cabinet style?
I would say no more than $100 if the above things are true.

It depends on your locality though and the availability of cabinets to you. Now if the monitor is working or repaireable that would change its value if you were going to use it. You can often get working games for under $300, so keep that in mind before you blow to much on this one. Start low and work your way up. I've gotten several solid cabs for free so alot of it depends on the seller.
