My Dinosoar Bartop 4 day build
« on: July 06, 2014, 05:55:57 pm »
So as mentioned on the other thread after picking a nippy little cheap PC it time I built
my Dino loving son Jack  his own arcade.

His birthday party is Sunday so i left it a bit late as i started to build it
Wednesday lucky i had prototype Bartop shape to hand to help me a little

Ok so I shortened  below the CP to look flush

I gave the sides a sand

And painted the panels

After that I put it back together
And sanded the Control Panel down

And that's enough for today....

my first time using black board paint I may have put it on a bit to thick
I'll do a light sand once it dry .... If ever

Fitted the vinyl to the Control panel and did a test fit and fitted the marquee

Drilled out the 28mm for the buttons

Did a test a fit for monitor bezel

And from the front (the plastic protect will hide the shame

Also fitted the speakers a quick test got of the screen protector

And stripped the PC and removed the bits I don't need and tapped into the on/off button

Little sneak view with t-molding

The buttons I bought can be swapped

One complete control panel

being tested

Bezzel sprayed and the machine is done

Not my greatest work but I'm happy with it,its not shelled completly but Hyperspin is in the start up folder and windows branding has been removed

Terrific artwork!  Well done.  Love how you incorporated his name into the Jurassic Park logo.  The idea of chalk board sounded a bit funny when I read it but I think would actually work out great for a young fella.

I'm really digging the colours and look of that control panel. Well done!

I really like you're design.   :applaud:  Only the swapped parts of the buttons I don't like too much.

Good job! In my experience doing a small cab isn't any less time consuming than a big one. Nice that you got it completed in time.

Didn't get it when I saw little Jack drawing on the sides but it's a very neat idea !
And the artwork is really well done.
Mind if I posted that on Bartopmania ? Or you could do it yourself since you're a member !
Anyways  :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:
