After seeking advice from here and from the guys over on Hyperspin, I finally have my first cabinet at a point I feel is ready for a few photos. Ignore the computer you see next to the cabinet, that is the kids computer and not part of the arcade cabinet.
I am not finished yet. It needs a new control panel (in the process of being built) and needs to be repainted with some artwork + t-molding. But most of it is finished.
I did end up going with a 7" Liliput USB monitor to display controls via Marquee Magician. Works pretty well overall, except with SSF (which will crash if it detects a monitor with resolution under 800x600, meaning I have to turn it off before I launch Saturn games).
The Aftershock PS3 controllers seem to match well with the LazerTag guns I turned into a pair of AimTrak light guns. The Marquee is from Gameongraphix.com.
The Bezel is made from 1/2 black foam board. I actually hollowed out the foam board to let the monitor rest inside it. This eliminates being able to see the inner foam while playing (I think it turned out great for my first ever attempt).
The lower left access panel has my speaker control behind it. Just open the door and you can adjust the speaker volume as needed.
