| Aim Trak guns with MAME & other Emulators |

Changing button configuration is the most basic thing in emulation and is usually done in a minute. Get at least into the basics. Its really no science. |

You'll also get into trouble with Ipacs default keys and some emulators like demul since they really don't like keys like alt, space or ctrl. |

That's my issue, keys like ALT & CNTRL for example cause the issues. So for NullDC my control panel is 2 player, 6 buttons per side, plus 2 start buttons. I also have a credit button wired. But I'm unable to fully configure based on the issues. I'm looking into some options suggested by Howard Casto, PPJOY or something. I've just been so busy I haven't read much. I think I first want to make a sheet to record my issues, then go in and fix it all at one time. |

--- Quote ---Note that I play with crosshairs on so I can't vouch for how well AimTrak works with them turned off on any of these. I've had success with the following emulators: --- End quote --- Playing a gun game with crosshairs, is like shooting fish in a barrel. Of sparring a guy whos feet and hands are tied... Wheres the challenge??!! The entire point of a lightgun, is for skill in your ability to judge your aim, without any scope, laser sight, etc. The only exception, are games like T2, in which its a positional gun, and a quarter muncher. No accuracy required. I dont even consider House of the Dead worth playing, let alone a game at all. These are just interactive movies, again, no skill required. I realize there are few options available. But you wont catch me playing Shooting Gallery for the SMS (maybe one of the best light gun games ever made) with an Aimtrack, using a crosshair. Thats a sad joke. |

I need something to line the gun up. I'd be lying if I said I found lining up using the sights on something like the NES Zapper any more challenging than using crosshairs on an emulator. I still need to quickly line up my shots and that is where I find the challenge. |
