Free cabinet in Atlanta, GA area
« on: October 22, 2003, 05:30:58 pm »
I have an "Ironman Stewart's Super Offroad" cabinet that I am going to throw away.  I am hoping somebody will want it though because I just hate throwing these kinds of things away.  It's free for anybody that wants to come over and take it.

It's not in the best of shape, but it not too bad.  Definately not a candidate for restoration; it'd make a great MAME cab though.  I gutted the stuff I wanted, so it's pretty much an empty shell.  It still has the marquee and speaker grill and some other parts.  It still has the game circuit board too (which I believe has the "track pack").  It also has the original side art in case anybody is interested.  I don't know how one would go about removing it though.

I took the 25" monitor, switching power supply, steering controls and gas pedals.

If anybody wants it, please email me.  I want to get it out of my garage.

I live a couple of hours from Atlanta.  What does the cabinet look like?  Any pictures?

FWIW, here are some photos of the cab.

Please note, you see the monitor and some other parts that don't come with the cab.  Also the cabinet back panel is included even though it's not in the photographs.

Someone jump on this !!!

I created my cab out of an Ironman Ivan Stewart and it is the perfect cabinet for a MAME setup.

a. plenty of room for a large monitor (up to 25 inch). I put a 21 inch PC monitor in mine and it fit perfectly.

b. extremely sturdy.

c. Very nice looking cab when finished properly.

See ....

Good Luck to whomever gets it ...

On a completely unrelated topic, I STILL have an unfinished 1996 NBA Hangtime cab in my garage if anyone wants to come and get it. It is located in Jacksonville, FL and it is FREE.

Man, that was a really fun cabinet to truck through the backyard on my own!  NOT!  Thankfully I had a dolly for the load-off.  It is in the house, and the wife actually seems pretty interested!  She was pretty jazzed about what you threw in with the deal, although she WAS paying attention while I was on the phone so I had to 'fess up.  Still, lloks great, can't wait to get started.  Now if I can just finish the dang basement I can get rolling.  Thanks again, your a real standup guy although I think you need a bigger display for your mame games. :D

Thanks ... after my daughter and my dog, it is my prized possession.   ;D

P.S. The hangtime has been claimed ... SORRY!

A guy in my neighborhood is gonna put a 27 inch TV in it and play Galaga 24 hours a day. It is the only game he likes - that is why I don't let him come over to play my cab anymore. Galaga is a great game, but you can only take so much of it.

No sweat, probably best as it would be a stretch to make the trip from Atl.  Galaga dedicated?  Each to his own...
