Driving Cab Completed...

Well Fed Games:
I think I am in process of letting my driving cab project go and this just makes me sadder... because it is awesome! I love cabs with very focused themes/game lists- Sega Racing in your case. I'm not up on the emulators you are using, but no Outrun 2 though? But I guess it does use a 2-way shifter...

Much appreciated, but please persevere with your project.

Until I got the cab I didn't realise how bad a state it was really in, it sat in my garage for months as I toyed with the idea and I never thought the project would even get up and running. However, doing bits little and often things eventually took shape, and its definitely been worth it in the end.

The emulators I'm using are Elsemi's Sega Model 2 Emulator and Supermodel Sega Model 3 Emulator, the links are on the Blog side bar.
As for Outrun 2, I may be adding games further down the line and Outrun 2 would be one of the first to be added, I do plan to mount up / down shifter buttons to the steering wheel as well at some point. For the time being though its down tools  ;)

I second that, really well done. How does it feel to play those games standing up versus sitting down? Shifting seems to be perfect upright.  :applaud:

Thanks, to be honest I would of preferred a Sit-down but space wouldn't permit, as you can probably tell by the vid  ;), but I am really chuffed with the outcome, it turned out a lot better than I expected.
As for the shifter it feels very nice as does the steering, the ffb is really sweet as well .. unbelievably strong!  ;D

I'm chuffed that you're chuffed! Great job!

Nice build!  What are the Sega and MAME power switches for?  Can you explain how they work?

Kudos!
