I'm building a bartop that will be running with from an OG Xbox with coin ops and I need to do the soft mod.  I have a memory card but have not purchased the action replay kit thinking that someone locally may have a card with the appropriate Splinter Cell save installed that they would be willing to sell.  I would even pay you for your time if you could transfer the game save to one of my existing cards.  If this post is breaking any rules please remove it as my intention was not to violate any terms of service here.

Thanks in advance for any and ll recommendations.  I would prefer not to purchase from eBay for $30 if I don't have to.

Not trying to thread crap, but have you tried the audio exploit with an MP3?  May be easier/faster than trying to get the memory card.

Good luck regardless!

No I haven't.  I will have to search for that as I have not heard of it before.  Thanks for chiming in here!

If you happen to have a link to a preferred tutorial to do this and have the time to copy it here that would be great.  I don't want to do something that is outdated if I don't have to.  A quick google search brings up several options but thought I would ask your expertise on this if possible?  :applaud:

I started to Google it and realized that I may still have the bookmark for it.  Remarkably (or not since I'm a packrat) I found it right away.

This tutorial is for a softmod and goes through each step. If you don't need all of it, skip down about half way of the original post to see the audio disc trick:

If you need help with it, just post in Software - Consoles.  There are quite a few people here that can help with it.  If you've already softmodded before, you'll probably be fine with it.  Just throwing it out there in case you have issues.

I have a couple OG Xboxs that Im hoping to make bartops out of for me and some family so the card with the exploit would be most helpful.  I may be interested in your Xbox though if the price is right.  If you get a change to PM me with your asking price and let me know what you have installed I would be happy to get back to you.  Thanks for the reply.

It's a trick PBJ himself taught us all.

I'm also looking for the opportunity to use the other trick you taught us, James, involving cases of (cheap) beer.

So far, that hasn't worked on me.  I don't like Hammys...

Hey, man, don't knock the beer.  I got a $50 Olive Garden gift card and 12 pack of Shiner Bock for setting up a MAME computer for a guy.  Olive Garden ain't all that but I think I went through 5 bowls of minestrone soup.   :lol

Tried selling a Bally Freedom for a case of beer and some twerp here wanted delivery.

 :banghead:

I'll be in El Paso in February for a wedding. Meet me halfway with the Spy Hunter, and I'll throw in a case of GOOD beer. Either that, or I'm going to grab one of those pony cabs in Socorro.

Split the cost of a trailer and throw in a case of Four Peaks, and we'll talk.

Actually, my wife has family in El Paso. We don't have to wait until February.

The "trick" he mentions is that you make a no hassle "I'll haul it away at your first convenience" cash offer and be prepared to walk away.

People that want to share their life stories or like hemming and hawing over $25 dislike the approach.

Sounds like a good approach to me.  More times than not when I sell something on CL I have people that agree on the price, drive to my residence and then try to have a 30 minute bonding conversation with me  :blah:, and then want to pay less because of the amount of time it took for them to drive to my place.  As if they didn't know how long the drive was when I gave them my address!  Give me $25, a 6 pack of a tasty IPA, don't ---smurfette--- about the length of your journey, and I'm a happy camper!

If you were serious about Spy Hunter, you'd cough up the $200 for shipping.

:bat

Is it really only $200 to ship?
