I thought Nick Fury was white?

In the Ultimates universe (which is a series of books based on an alternate universe than standard Marvel universe) Nick Fury is black and looks just like Sam Jackson. For whatever reason, all of the movies keep mixing both regular Marvel and Ultimates. Like the directors never read a comic and grabbed a bunch at random and read them, then drew their story and origins based off of what they read. I personally am not a fan of the Ultimates, but I had no problem with them using Ultimate Nick Fury.

I think every single joke in this movie came down to AWKWARD!!!! Meh.

What the hell was her super power?  Randomly firing tiny handguns?  Those things wouldn't drop a teenage thug prowling a gated neighborhood, much less penetrate alien armor or whatever.

I thought Nick Fury was white?

Loved how the characters had magic telepathy that enabled them to talk to each other over vast distances with tons of noise.

Anyway, it was dumb and loud.  I enjoyed it.  Probably what this bitter ------- needed.  My wife liked it a lot, but she liked Spider-Man 3 so she's suspect.

#1 Please explain?
#2 High tech handguns and high tech bullets. Also the electric shock "widow bite" bracelets.
#3 Ultimates Nick Fury is based on Samuel L. Jackson. The older comics version was white.
#4 Its called communication earpieces......

It was dumb and loud? Can I take a vote? All the people who got it to over $1 billion raise your hand if you though it was dumb and loud.  :lol

EDIT: $6 for a ticket? That's nothing, Imax is almost $13 a ticket!!
ChadTower:
Just the standard sized 3D ticket here was $14.50.  My 2D matinee ticket was $9.

--- Quote from: kahlid74 on May 24, 2012, 10:02:23 am ---Side note, the Asgardians are still "Gods" in the Movie.  Thor gives an explanation that humans can understand about science but they are still gods.  The thing to remember is that Gods in the marvel universe are just powerful beings.  You can't think of the Christian god and Marvels gods in the same sentence.  None of Marvels gods created the universe so there's a huge gap in power on that level.  The only things in the Marvel universe that can come close to a god like Christianities would be either the Cosmic Entities or someone with the Infinity Gauntlet.  In DC there IS an actual God like figure that represents closely what Christians follow.  His avatar, the specter, is ridiculously powerful.

When does Thor explain that?

It's basic comic knowledge but if you're ONLY looking at the movies, it's inferred from Thor's movie with entitlement and classes.
