I need Help! Newbie with Cab being built from the Ground up
« on: September 25, 2011, 09:32:37 am »
Hey Guys,

I need some Advice and Questions answered.

I have decided to a 4 player cabinet out of MDF. No track ball no flight stick. Only MAME, NES, SNES, Sega Gen, Playstation Games will be played on it.

1. How many Pushbuttons per player? what brand pushbutton & joysticks should I get?

2. Does anyone have a template for a CP?

3. I will have a 32in Flat screen tube tv (Sony Wega) to use as the monitor, at what angle should I put it at? I may want shooter games in the future.

4. I want a Glossy White CP top, whats the best way of making that happen? Glossy Paint? epoxy? pexiglass?

5. Best place to get Roms?

6. Where are the easiest instructions to be able to get a vista running comp to boot into Hyperspin right from the start?

Thanks guys any kind of help would be great, this forum as well as this website has been nothing short of awesome to a newbie like me Thanks for everything! :burgerking:

Hey, welcome to the forums. I recommend you use the search function to find some answers, many of those questions have been asked before here and there are some good threads on them. Be sure to check slagcoin.com as well for CP info.

As far as a glossy white surface on a CP, I think white plexi would be your easiest bet.
