New Mini pin Build
Firebat138:
Need to build a small pin for a buddy and havent done one yet... Anyone have a ROUGH cost estimate?
He wants a small LcD... probably a 26-32.. So I can find that myself... just looking for the other costs...
Any info is helpful..
Thanx

More info might help flesh out your build. You have a main screen size. Does it have a 2nd screen for a back glass? Do you want a working plunger or can you just use an arcade button? Will the cabinet have trim and full glass or plexi? Do you want a coin door? Do you want pinball legs? Any other requirements would help. ;D

you can also check out my build thread :)

yup.... looking at that thread now... NICE... I only want a main 32 or less screen and a 17-19 for backglass... I can get that free... just gotta buy yhe main screen...
a button is good for the plunger... no led... I have a couple of old laptops... less than 1.8 ghz and a couple of older pcs, about the same speed...
So the only thing I really need to buy is the buttons, wood, legs, plexi, etc... I was thinking I could get this under $500 I can get a 26" Vizio for like 220
And it may SIT on a table near his bar, so I might be able to skip the legs... all depends on what he wants... NO coin door... unless i can get one for nothing... hes not really into the authentic feel....

Note that the pinball emulators are usually very demanding when it comes to processing capabilities (both CPU and GPU), so going with a old laptop might not be what you need.
