:dizzy: What? Who calls not touring to be officially broken up? Most every band does not constantly tour and have periods where they are not planning touring either. They will face an inevitable burnout if they are continually planning tours. Jeez, most bands I listen to right now would be, in your definition, broken up because they are not touring, nor scheduled to tour. Funny how a number of these bands manage to write albums when they are broken up as well. :lol

They definitely couldn't match the awesomeness of Rust in Peace ever again.
Donkbaca:
You figure that if Beavis and Butthead were a timeless classic, that it would be running in syndication somehwere. It might be, but for the life of me I can't think of any place that runs old B&B episodes, unlike say, Seinfeld, which IS a timeless classic seeing as how its damn near everywhere.
I think Judge is so overrated. He did B&B then wanted to stop doing it to focus on KoTH, and his films. His films have been a bust, sorry, they have been, office space has a cult niche and its a nice little movie, idiocracy was pretty much a dud, marginally funny. So he just rode that KoTH gravy train, because, apparently, if you are an animated show on Fox, you pretty much have job security.
If Judge was that great, he would have thought of something new post KoTH, I think its more likely that he sees this as a quick way to make some dough. The idea of teenage kids who were fans of metal bands who were mostly popular in the 80's was plausible in the early 90's. The idea that there are teenage kids that listen to 80's metal and watch music videos, well, I just don't think there are many of those around now...

Exactly. Its hard to compare Metallica to Megadeth, because Im a fan of both, I just like Metallica more. My point was that as a band, if you dont evolve, I feel as though what you create doesnt have the same impact it did in your hey day. I cant even name the last 2 Megadeth albums, but I can tell you Metallica's.
I know I derailed this a bit, I just couldnt let Howard get away with that horrible analogy. I just hope B&B doesnt suck. I kinda wished they left it alone, cause it left on a high note.
Mikezilla:
And thats why they have to bash on TV shows and YouTube clips. Daniel Tosh already did that. Part of what made B&B appealing back in the day was that it was violent, and pushed the envelope for a cartoon that was on mainstream TV. Look at all the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- that is out now! Archer, South Park, Drawn Together, Metalocalypse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and pretty much anything on adult swim for that matter. I think he is just trying to bank on the name, and it will fizzle out after a season or two. :dunno
I agree with Donk in saying that if it was so great it would be running in syndication somewhere. I forgot to mention that in my earlier post.
