Donkbaca:
People forget that he quit B&BH because he was tired of it and wanted to do KOTH instead. He Luke KOTH better. Like I said, the dude is pushing 50 now, don't see how much he can add seeing as how he stopped because he was burned out on it

Ginsu Victim:
Yeah, but just because he was burned out then means nothing now. Bands break up and then get back together years (or decades) later because they miss it. I'm sure he can look back on B&B fondly now.

Donkbaca:
Name one band that got back together that was half as good as they were before they broke up

Howard_Casto:
Genesis, Journey, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Aerosmith (I think they officially broke up like 8 times over the years).

Want any more?

I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything, it's just a bad analogy because the average rock band breaks up 2 to 3 times over their history.  You know that one or two years when they didn't tour?  Well officially speaking they had broken up.

I loved Beavis and Butthead, still do, and I'm a big fan of Mike Judge's work.

Not sure about a reboot though, as for me, these guys are intrinsically linked with '90s pop culture. I'm afraid it might seem odd to have them making fun of youtube videos and reality TV, but it's Judge, and it's Beavis and Butthead, so I'm definitely willing to give it a chance.

+1

The cornholio bit was far from the funniest thing they ever did IMO, but people loved it for some reason so they kept doing it. Hopefully they're just bridging the eras as you said and retire it (or at least mostly retire it) shortly.

It's been quite a few years, but I seem to remember Judge saying something at the time B&B ended along the lines of, "We've pretty much done everything we can with these guys, so it's time to end it." But a lot as changed in pop culture since then, and I can totally picture Judge watching crappy youtube videos and ridiculous reality TV and muttering to himself, "Damn, I wish I was doing Beavis and Butthead now because there is so much fodder here...so why don't I bring it back!?"

I'm a bit surprised at the lack of love for KOTH :dunno I love that show! It's not bust a gut, laugh a minute, raunchy funny, so if that's mainly what you're into, then I guess you wouldn't like it. The show's humor comes from the idiosyncrisies of it's characters and how they deal with the situations they get into, and I think that's ultimately more satisfying in the long run, rather than most shows which just use plots and characters as a means for delivering gags. For that reason, it's also not the kind of show you can just watch once in awhile and really get into which could be why some people don't like it I guess.
