So I came into this hobby from a friend who was playing around with mame. I ended up getting some free monitors and decided to build a cabinet. I didn't plan it out other then in my head so it was mostly made up as I went :) anyway into the photos. this was the first mock up using a 5:4 screen.

Got a shelf unit from b&q to use as a cp :)

Built a simple frame to hold it all together. It was originally made the width of the mdf I had to cut down on cutting :)

This is when I decided my wide screen 24" monitor fit perfectly :) luck I guess.

Started to put the frame together a little better.

Rounded over the corners and started to prime it.

Decided it needed a bezel :)

This is where I've got to so far. It's looks better in person then in the photos I think and I'll get some more photos soon when I start to put it together, which should start tonight.

Just like to thank all the people on here who have posted all there project in here it's been a big inspiration :)

Nice piece of timber for the CP!  I really like these timber CP / Black control combos - nice work.

I really love the motivation you guys show.  I have half of a 2 car garage full of tools and space to build and I have a hard time getting motivated to get out there on occasion.  When I get tired I can get up and close the door, dust and all. I really respect you guys that build in the kitchen and in the yard, with all the extra aggravation that entails.  Good work.

Real nice bezel - is that just from a round over bit on the MDF?  Looks sweet.

Yeah it's just rounded over mdf it took quite a while to make it and I was worried about snapping it but turned out well in the end.

I also have a garage where I did most my work but the non messy jobs I did inside because the weather not been great and it's nice to be indoor away from all the mdf dust :)
