help needed super space invaders 91 restore project

I guess I should've said getting a NEW one would be expensive.  ;D  If it were me I would try fixing the old one first before going after a used one that may have probs of it's own.

Not sure what you meant by "it's just fitting it in with all the other boards etc." The monitor and all it's "boards" are surrounded and connected to a frame which just bolts into the cab. Pretty straight forward to unbolt it and pull it out of the cab.

Let me say too that I'm no expert on monitor repair. There are quite a few of them on these boards however. Even more over on the KLOV forums.

Do you know what kind of monitor you have? Have you looked on the monitor's pcb's to see if you can locate any burnt fuses or other componets? You are aware of the high voltage that these things can zap you with even with them being unplugged?

Thanks alot m8 that is a great help :). I think I have located the problem looks to be a component on the board underneath the monitor. Going to try and take it out tonight and find out for definate if it is a component. will post up some pictures later today hopefully.

Look up how to discharge a monitor first!

hi guys

managed to get the board out have included pictures. there appears to be a damaged resistor. could this be a possible cause of the problem?
could any one point me to a resistor that would replace this one as i cant see the colours to identify it.
