Feature Request: one separate picture for each emulator

Hi Folks,

I am currently adding a lot of emulators to mala.

Every Emulator have different controller and button mappings.

I thing it will be nice, if we can show a separate picture via a button press . Here I will make a picture with the original controller and the controlpanel with the mapping for this emulator.

Is there a way to show a jpg for every emulator?


I tried a Controlpanel Software but it losts focus of mala and takes a lot of time until it shoes the picture.

You can have a different background for each Emu as it can call for a different layout (you probably know that right?). But do you another picture that comes up when you bring up the menu?

Can you explain in more detail (for the dummies like me) exactly what you want to happen?

With my program it's possible to configure a botton or key to launch a external viewer to show a picture!
Over time you set the external viewer is closed.

A picture is doing it better like my "bad" english.


Like in mame you can show for every game the controlpanel of the current selected game.
I want to show only one picture of the controlpanel with the mapping to the controller, for each emulator.
And it will be great if I can show the picture with the press of one button directly

I know about the possibility of changing the layout for every emulator. I am using the layout retrogui in a new version with around 25 different systems. But there is no place for showing the controller with the mapping...

You should try that first.

I assume you launch it in MaLa using Controller - Keyboard - External applications???

In any case you may want to provide 'wolfsoft' some assistance on how to achieve this with your program as all the instructions are in Spanish  ;-)


AllInOne (All In One) : lol:

Some of the things that our script will be able to do the following:
+ Remapping keystrokes or buttons on our control panel.
+ Throw some process.
+ Kill up to 3 processes.
+ Bring to focus a particular process.
+ Check the volume buttons on the PC using our control panel or buttons.

It's possible to use it how you tell it or you can launch by a bat file!

I have two problems: Time and my bad english! 

I hope to have a new version of the program and translate it into English.

you can download this.
Unrar in c:\prueba.
Launch the exe file.
In the config file (AllInOne.ini) I have defined the r key to show a image. If you wait 6 seconds or press a key/botton control panel then you can close the image. (Both key to show a image and the image are defined in AllInOne.ini and you can change it.)

Please make a test and told me.

Remember, AllInOne183 is a beta at this moment. (I need beta testers)

As soon as possible, there will be a english version of AllInOne.

To launch in MaLa you should be able to assign a key like I have done here (see pic)

With AllInOne is possible assign a botton of your control panel to show a image!
It is possible to launch a AllInOne different for each emulator so you can see different images for each emulator.
