Strange troubles with control panel
« on: July 26, 2010, 11:44:11 am »
I gutted my X-arcade to fit the existing control panel, and now the controls only work for the Xbox, no emulators  I traced my steps, and there is NO reason why they shouldn't work. I extended some wires for buttons to fit the larger footprint of the existing panel, but I see no problems there. I used the standard "hook up wire" from Radio Shack. Like I said, the control panel works fine when playing Xbox games, but not working for emulators......    :dunno

I did have a glimmer of hope when I could control my guy on Metal Slug, but could not shoot, only jump. Other than that, I gots nothing!

Please leave the X-arcade flaming for other posts, I am looking for some help here.

Did you instal the x-arcade cfg? did you move x-arcade the selector switch to the proper setting?

yeah, it sounds like your emulators aren't configured properly to match the xarcade

The main problem is, I can't configure the emulators because the control panel doesn't work....lol

I attempted to do it with the regular Xbox control, and was able to switch the cfg to "X-Arcade" in the emulator, but that still didn't work....I am going nuts   :dizzy:

on the PC, if you go into notepad and hit the buttons, does it start typing letters?

did you try the x-arcade test utility?
