My "Retro Cade"

Poomobile:

Thought I would share some pics of my completed cab....I finished last year, but never posted pics  It was a great project and I just love playing it.  It is always the highlight of any party!  I am now thinking about a virtual pinball cab...here we go again!

I used an old jamma cabinet that housed a broken game "egg venture".  Feel free to ask any questions!

leapinlew:

Nice job. Smooth finish.

Couple questions:
How do you feel about all the player start buttons on the player 2 side of the cabinet? Does that cause any issues in a 4 player continue-athon game?
Is the 3rd and 4th player joystick angle a problem? It seems like you have a perfect setup for SmashTV if the joysticks were straight.

Silas (son of Silas):

Wow, I really like this. I usually don't like black cabs, but I love how clean this looks. Nice job.

Flip The Switch:

Looks great! very clean sharp looking cab.

I dont like the 1-4 player start buttons though, bit of a silly place, may have been best moved to the front of that cab on that big black piece with all the space?

just a minor niggle, id hate to be down the far left and have to reach over there to continue.

sure you could get round it by chucking heaps of credits and bind one of the main play buttons to be start also.

JustMichael:

I just wonder what kind of heat buildup there is behind that marquee with those incandescent light bulbs?  I would probably swap them out for compact fluorescent ones.
