Any progress? I just reread the entire thread to get some ideas for my Robotron. Good information in here.

Thanks! I've been busy with some art commissions during my spare time, so I haven't been able to fully concentrate on this. But, I've recently gutted the cabinet and am in the middle of rebuilding the power supply, as well as working on stripping the cabinet paint. I'll post some pictures when I'm done.
I take you're ready to do your Robotron restore eh?? :applaud:
I'll be ramping up on this one shortly, once I can finish off some artwork I can focus on getting this baby minty! It's been sitting around taunting me, poking at me to work on it. I must heed it's call... ;)

I see you went with the deluxe rebuild kit for $35. I'm trying to decide if I should just go with the $10 rebuild kit or ship it off to Dokert to have the rebuild done for $35 (plus shipping to him, so say $40 total). If option 1 works, it only costs $10. With option 2, I'm guaranteed to get a working power supply for about the cost of the deluxe repair.
Edit: Option 3 is the $12 rebuild kit which adds in the connectors

If you can do it yourself, why not just go with Option 3?
Rebuilding Williams PS's is pretty straight forward...it's just time really. But then, if time = money, then I guess sending it off to Dokert would be worth it. It's up to you though. I'm of the opinion that it's always better to do it yourself.

I don't mind doing it myself, but my thought was if I had to pay for the $35 deluxe kit, I could just send it out for the same price and have it done for me.
