Rowe R series Remote Power Switch
« on: April 07, 2025, 09:27:44 pm »
On the top of the amplifier box for the Rowe R Series there is a terminal strip. One of the terminals is labeled "Remote Power Switch". I already have a remote volume switch. I want to add my own remote power swtich. What do I need to do, pull this ine ground? Why does this line go to pin 5 on the mute plug of the amplifier? Does it just pass through the amplifier. I just purchased the service and parts manual (R-86) for $50, and to say that I am disappointed in its contents is an understatment. . Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Or is the reason that it goes to amplifer mute plug is, that it only mutes the auto and Rowe picked a very misleading label for it?
