I am currently trying to finish my mame cocktail cabinet I'm building. I'm having a couple of issues that I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on what to check. I'm running Mame 133 and need help with Frogger and Donkey Kong.
On Frogger, I can't get the game to fill the screen. It is displaying, almost like it is expecting a bezel around it. I have checked the settings and the bezels are turned off, and is set to full screen. Not sure if this is a video display issue? All of the other games I've tried, appear to be displaying full Screen.
On Donkey Kong, I have changed the cabinet to cocktail, but when player 2's turn comes up, the screen does not rotate toward player 2. Is there another setting I'm missing?

Okay. One thing I'm going to check tonight, is if either of these games has its own ini file, and if so, check the settings in their ini files.
Someone was originally kind of enough to give me their mame set up for their cocktail originally, but it was an older version of mame, and I opted to go with 133.
I was originally checking the video options settings using the tab button within the game. I would have thought if I went into the video options in the game and changed the options, the ini file would have updated. Now, I'm wondering if maybe the ini files (if they were created with the older version of mame) are not compatible with the using the video option setting in version 133, and aren't updating when I try to change the settings within the game???

So, how did you go? It sounded like you were on the right track. Quite a lot of MAME ini options change around between versions.

There were separate INI files, but if I tried changing the resolution to be the same as one of the game that was displaying correctly, it still didn't make a difference. Frogger was still not displaying full screen, and still had a black border around it.

Okay, I got both of them set up correctly now. What I did was delete the mame.ini file and created a new one, I also deleted the frogger.ini and dkong.ini and created new ones. I then changed a couple of settings within them, and both problems went away.
