OK, I bought a cap kit from twistedquarter.com. changed all the caps, now the pictures below are what I'm getting. The vertical size is turned up all the way. Now when I did the cap kit, 3 of the caps that were on TQ's list were different then the ones that were in the boards. One on the board had 330 uf 50V, TQ had 330uf, 50V:
Two on the board had 10uf 100V, TQ had 10uf 160V
and Three had 10uf 160V on the board, and TQ had 4.7uf 160V
Now the monitor didn't work great before hand, so I can't say these were the right ones originally, but it had to have worked at some point because these caps were old (not original, but still old). It does look 100 times better though, I could not get such a steady and as clear of a picture at first, but the squeezing was always a problem. This is what could be causing all this right? Could it also be the pots? There kind of rough. input is, as always, appreciated.

Crap...this is a cap issue all right...but it's not an electrolytic one. When I was working for the op I used to work for we had a 5500 that did this same thing. Finally sent it away and was told it was one of the mylar caps (I think). I tried to pry the answer out of the guy as to which cap it was, but he never got the chance to tell me, and I never looked at the board to figure out which one.

The 5500 needs the 10uf instead of the 4.7uf. That is the difference in the cap kit from a 4900 series chassis.

yeah, I kind of figured. I used this as an excuse to order a variety of caps to have on hand from mouser. Hopefully that will fix it. Hopefully its not a random mylar cap like sir peale said. Ill let you guys know what happens. Thanks and happy turkey day.

Bringing this back, I replaced that one particular cap, and there is still the same issue. Picture is decently clear, but there is almost like a double image, and it won't take up the whole screen. Any ideas?
