Title: Indy 500 Arcade "Startup Issue"

I just came across two of the linked Indy 500 Arcade games in great shape.  When I turn them on they both show "Checking Network Now, Ver .3.01 it also blinks Network Checking !  I can get into the setup on car 2 but not on car one.  It continues to show this and never finishes.  Any idea what may be wrong??

swap the rx/tx connections on car 2 fibre optic cable

Got Sega Rally Championship Twin this week and was set to NoLink.
Robbed my SkyHD and PS3 optical cables and it was stuck in Network check until i swamped TX to RX
Silly Mistake from Network Engineer :) But easy to miss with no manual for SR1 and being newbie.

Thanks all, no need to get into fan on P1 its killing me, and also P1 screen has no reds...
