Hi All,
This is my first post. I've been lurking the forums for several weeks now. I'm just finishing up my very first cab. Which I built from scratch (except for the CP) with Saint's book as a Guide. I used a Wells Gardner D9800 for my display and just got down to the brass tacks of getting it set up right in software. I got an ArcadeVGA2 card and was trying to set up the custom resolution configs using the "Mame Resolution Tool" by Minwah. When I try to generate the native resolutions I get an "Error 13" mismatched files error and am stopped dead in my tracks :banghead:.
I tried using both Mame .90b Cmd line and mame32 .90 to generate the lists but no love :-\, I know I must be missing something simple. When I googled the error the only links I found were for Windows File errors and 1 from the forums from a user who got the error trying to run Mamewah-which I am not using at present( i wanted to get mame configured correctly before moving on to chosing a FE to work with the older computer I'm using.
So.... Anyone able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Here are my Cab Specs.

Oh well, in the absence of any feedback I went ahead and used AVRes tool instead-thanx Epyx! Your tutorial was invaluable and made 90% of the setup for my WG9800 w/AVGA Card as painless as possible . The AVRes tool is not as full featured IMO, and now Im struggling with customising vertical resolutiions (cut off at the bottom-pacman-ms pac, galaga etc.,etc.) but 90% of the games look absolutely phenomenal! I'm so glad I went with an arcade monitor!! ;D
So I suppose this thread can be closed up, unless someone has an answer to the original post to share with anyone else who gets the "Error 13" message when using Mame Resolution Tool.

I'm interested in finding out if someone has an answer to your question too.
The reason being, I'm currently building a cab for my uncle and will be using the same monitor and display adapter. I hope I don't run into any problems setting it up but if I run into this one I'd like to have an answer for it. :)
