Title: Mamewah 1.6.0.8 + Visual Pinball + vplaunch = Joy
Post by: Zeosstud on October 23, 2009, 07:30:30 pm
***  answers are below, the top part was me crying :-)  ***

Hello,
I need some help.  Been trying for weeks to get Visual Pinball and Mamewah to play well with each other.  I just have not had any luck.

pinballwrapper.exe  crashes on me
closemul.exe works fine, except for the fact that Mamewah stays on the screen, I hear my table boot up in the background however
vp-launcher5.exe ( 5.1 actually )   honestly I dont even remember what the issue was, I think it worked pretty well but the DMD would not be on the screen or something similar.

I have messed with .ini's until I am sick.  I would just like to copy a working .ini and for finish off my bottle of bacardi.

I have visual pinbal installed in its default directory of  c:\program files\visual pinball  and I can launch table just fine from the a command like like this:
"C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\vpinball.exe" -play -"c:\program files\visual pinball\tables\Eight Ball Deluxe - JP.vpt"

Thanks for your time,

Zeosstud

*** vplaunch.exe saved ---my bottom--- ***

Like to toss a big thank you out to headkaze and his vplaunch.exe utility.  Its the only thing I have been able to get to work with my setup, and frankly, its working VERY well.  Below is my pinball.ini

I only messed with the top 2 sections, just enough to try and get the silly thing working, now that it is working I will be myself some screen shots and tidy up a few other settings.  Looking forward to playing some more tables now that I know I can get it working on tables with and without DMD's.

Don't think this will help much.  I am using PinballWrapper.  All works fine for me.
Here is my .ini file...  I load a different layout for the IPac and then load the default after exit.  I am also using LEDBlinky...

Thanks for the reply, vplaunch.exe cured all my ailments!!  Glad pinballwrapper.exe is working for you, these things are pretty darn fun to play on a Mame Cabinet!!

Yepper!!!  I even mounded a button on each side of my CP for 'flippers'...  When VP is selected from MameWAH, LEDBlinky lights the side buttons....  Now I just need to figure out the 'bump'.  ;)  Maybe mount my CP on a sled of sorts with reed switches?? Hmmm...  (smoke pouring from ears)
