Title: 19" WG k4601 colors off-set
Post by: barfcark on August 30, 2009, 11:52:45 pm
I'm a noob to the scene. I got a Galaxian arcade a few months ago. I had to replace one of the monitor daughter boards(P297) and re-wire(P3??)(thanks Ken Layton). I'm glad to see/play something now, but the colors appear to be all off-set. I set the test pattern and took a picture. What's my next step? Convergence/Purity? I'm not familiar with this at all, but the manual that was with the arcade has some steps to follow... Any advice would be great. Thanks.

History: My brother-in-law kept this arcade outside a lot and then set it beside the road for trash pick-up. I scooped it up and hugged it all the way home.

Yup, looks like the convergence rings have moved a bit.
Everything appears to be nice and straight though, so should be an easy adjustment.

Since it's only off in one direction, I would moved the rings in pairs NOT individually.
But then again...... all depends on what it does when you move them.

So just break the adhesive "lock" on the ring and turn it? I have three sets of two rings...

Thanks.

EDIT: Adjusted rings and BOOYAH!
