Title: Star Trek Captain's Chair audio
Post by: bajnaj on August 03, 2009, 09:30:56 am
Does anyone know if the original speakers for the captain's chair can be tied into a computer audio card?

Speakers are speakers..... done this sort of thing many times utilizing original speakers in different cabinets.
Check the Ohm rating on them, match that to your output setup.
In this case you may need a small amplifier as the PC alone will probably not push them enough.
PC--->Amplifier--->Seat Speakers

Doesn't the soundblaster with the sub woofershave a small amp on it?

I dunno..... need to be more specific other than just "sounblaster with the sub woofer".

I highly doubt the sound card itself has an amp.
Typically there's an external amp of some sorts to push the sub.
