... in Bangkok, Thailand, according to his manager. :o
No other news yet.
-
Damn, that sucks. I loved Kung Fu when I was a kid, and I thought he was great in Kill Bill.
RIP...
-
:'(

Oh no!
That sucks.
R.I.P.
I'll have to watch Kill Bill for the umpteenth time.

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Park Nai Lert Hotel in Junfan Mulay, Bangkok, Thailand. The initial police report indicated that Carradine had committed suicide by hanging himself; he was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body.
It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.
-
A sad way to go. I had thought he was on a come back with the Kill Bill movies but obviously had many inner demons to contend with. :'( :'(
-
There have been various edits to this news post. One saying "found dead by hanging" another saying "rope around neck and other body parts" and yet another (presumed to be the original unedited news) that he had a rope around neck and genitals.
Personally, I think Benjamin Linus did it.
-
I think he did a Michael Hutchins.
Which I don't understand if he was in Thailand. $10 American dollars could've gotten him a party.
-
That's not nice.
-
I wonder if someone did that to him?
It is Thailand you know, lots of weird animosity towards Americans sometimes.
PBJ that remark is acceptable in my book ONLY if he did indeed kill himself. Unless he did it due to a terminal illness or if he was murdered, in that case you would be a d-bag.
-
I consider myself a connoisseur of weird ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, but PBJ's post is Greek to me...it looks like alphabet soup. So I'm not sure why he is a D-Bag. But even if something in that scrambled jargon is offensive, it is a quote from wikipedia...not his f'ed up words.
-
Someone faked a quote to wikipedia, to make it sound like he died like Bill died in Kill Bill 2.

duuuhhhh...I get it now. You are a D-Bag PBJ!

Still watching, RayB? I DLed season 5. Loving it so far. Just got to the point where they gave Ben to the Others.
I think they are doing a great job at finally shedding light on so many things. Plus when they raise new questions, it's not too long before they are answered.
Back on topic...I remember him as Raiden in Mortal Kombat. Never watched Kung Fu, and the excessive amounts of blood were just too outlandish and ridiculous in the KB movies.
Latest report I heard on the news is that it is being looked at as an accidental hanging. I'm not quite sure how THAT works...

Thats how Michael Hutchins died? Funny how that get left out on TV and such. They always just say he was found after he hung himself. It makes it less shocking and depressing knowing it was more than likely an accident.

Raiden was played by Christopher Lambert

I figured I might be wrong. It was years ago, and they kinda look alike...
Video surveillance doesn't show anyone entering or leaving his room around the supposed time of death.

I spelled his name wrong but that's the going theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Hutchins#Death), I guess. It is more common than people think. Last year two middle school kids here were found dead in a basement having tried it. Guess they didn't think it might be safer to go one at a time so there was someone watching to make sure no one died.
-
we had an MP go that way a few years ago , with an orange in his mouth.
-
its not suicide tho is it, ive gotta give him some credit for having such a full on wank at 72

Sounds like someone missed the point of the Kill Bill movies.

You don't have to miss the point to think the point is stupid. I thought the point was stupid too.
-
But to call a movie that is intentionally outlandish and ridiculous "too outlandish and ridiculous," is like calling Looney Toons "too cartoony" or saying, "Salt is too salty."

Feels more to me like calling it badly done outlandish and ridiculous. That was my problem with it. Not that it was over the top but that it didn't do any of it well. Not everyone can be Mel Brooks. ;D

I thought Kill Bill was great...except for the parts with Carradine in it. It would have been awesome to have never actually seen Bill.
-
I love Kill Bill. It combines all of my favorite genres (spaghetti western, kung fu, samurai, blaxploitation, horror, and anime) and it's directed by QT with an awesome cast and one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. For me, it's an all-around WIN.
-

That's why I can't stand it. I have never seen a Tarantino film that didn't annoy the piss out of me - and most of the people in those movies annoy the piss out of me too.
-
Haven't seen a Tarantino film I didn't LOVE. Other than some of the Death Proof cast (first set of girls), I don't see a problem with any of his casting. (Well, there was that cameo by Kathy Griffin in Pulp Fiction...)
Edit: And, yes, I know you don't like Brad Pitt, so obviously you won't like the next film, either...
