Nice tour. The video depicts the asshat arcade very well. Very nice work on all of your machines... & the Crüe rules
-
Nice , I like different room set ups it changed the atmosphere. Frizz you sure do like to "MAME" / Multi stuff. I enjoy the decor, By any chance do you happen to have a 1943 marquee on your wall for decoration ? I need one for a dedicated conversion :-)

Actually, I was a slight surprised, perhaps even mortified. But I'll give Frizz that one I guess.
Nice Mamewah set-ups.

Should really do a better one but at this moment my gameroom more looks like a workshop because the SW is in "service" position.
Guess most of you guys saw it already but here's what I shot at my son's birthday party.

Frizz, what's that crappy music :P
-
Crappy music he says.... :whap
Nice vid... I dug how the kid playing SW was ducking and stuff with the game... ;D
-
Cool stuff! Its amazing how much more dynamic someone else's game room is when you can see it all running and hear everything running. A lot better than pics!

We share our taste for games but not for music I guess :D

That's my son Mark :)
You know, even I still duck and move sometimes during the trench scene. It shows what a brilliant job the creators of SW did in creating a realistic feel with their limited computer power !
I guess being in the cockpit also adds a lot to the feeling that you need to duck etc. :D
Was at a customer's the other day and we talked a bit about my hobby and he told me he remembered playing a SW cockpit at a fun fair. He said: "Yeah, it was that game with only lines, that was great" and I had a smile from ear to ear ;)

I think it's just how much one gets into the game, and a human tendency to avoid physical collision, cos I find myself trying to turn and back away from baddies in various games, for example Robotron. I gotta keep pulling my chair back up. I think even at the original machine I played a couple months ago, I was stepping back and all.
-
That takes me back. I remember once, when the Aliens Total Conversion came out for Doom (the +original+ doom), everyone in the office stayed late to play a networked game.
We got down to about level 3 (the top levels were basically all empty, just like the movie, lots of walking around). We got into one long corridor and you could hear the scratching around but couldn't see anything.
Then, all of a sudden, aliens came literally out of the walls (I learned later the level designer had used Doom's one way walls and drop down doors to a VERY DRAMATIC effect here)!
Two of us (myself included) jumped so hard we fell out of our chairs. Banged my head pretty good on a desk too.
Good times

I think Doom (or was it Doom II ?) was the first game that really "scared" me, or at least something close....
The second game that comes to mind was Unreal. Not tournament but the 1 player game. The atmosphere, the aliens it was all superb. Especially the occasional long "do nothing, enjoy the scenery" scenes contributed loads to the game.
The last level was really freaky with the weird lighting etc.
Love that game. Later I bought Unreal II. Had much better graphics, but the whole atmosphere was so much less....
Let's get back on topic, show those vids !

I have since sold the NBA Jam and the Simpsons, and moved the MK1 and MK4 to my parents' house for storage, but the rest are still there.

But did I mean that for, against....or neither?

Happened to see this video of prOk's gameroom on the KLOV forum and thought it belonged in this thread.
I love the selection of games, most of these are very out of reach for us Europeans. I've never played any of those machines ( ) except for the pinballs.

Room is lovely decorated too, well done !

I agree. He packs some really really rare and desirable titles in that room. They all look SPECTACULAR as well. That Zoo Keeper looks pristine.
-
---fudgesicle--- ME, he's got a Screw Loose! Perhaps someone could ask him to take a pic for the cabinets and marquee .pngs ? Don't see at last the cab pic in the current progetto files.
-
Never mind. I swiped the picture from here (http://www.arcade-history.com/?n=screw-loose&page=detail&id=2331). Click on the cab image and then right-click it and save it. Works great.

Wow.. they could have at least asked me if I minded if my photo was put on their site.

You'll note that there is a disclaimer about that, so maybe it isn't yours?

Just because they have a disclaimer that acknowledges they've swiped the pictures doesn't mean it is OK to swipe them! It's pretty much certain to be mine considering it's the only one :)
-
Hope you don't mind I put the link to your video here then ;)

Great stuff guys. I wish I had room for a Dr.Who pinball
-
Doctor who pinball rocks, I want one

Awesome Frizz. I would've liked to have seen the arcade clock and tron light fixture though.
DO OVER! ;D
