its sort of a side project to my existing dc cab project, but check the pics

no never...never needed.
would have been easier for you if you made like a project box where you put the hacked dc pad and use molex connector.and left the box open so you can change the cards whenever you want.
my panel has 2 dc pads.one of them as a VMU inside the panel.
and my regular control has another VMU for regular dc games and got another one for my gun...things works out for me  :).

il ike that idea, but my kid and my friend havea way oif ruining things that arent locked away 8) so i put the pads inside, so far its workign nice, the controller ports in the side of the cab have really helped with gun games and stuff like that too.

I plan on doing something similar for the VMU.  I also like the side port for the dreamcast.  Why only one though?

there are 2 side ports,and when i get unlazy i plan to make another vmu extension, and last night i was scheming a plan to add the rumble pads to the underside of the control panel using another vmu extension
