MameUI is now the official name for what was called mame32.
To add to that, there are two versions of MameUI released, now. A 32 bit version and 64 bit version. So there is MameUI32 and MameUI64.
And FWIW, normal mame has been 32 bit for over eight years. It's about effing time that mameUI is used now instead of the old name that implied that official mame was not 32 bit. (The commandline version official mame also currently has 32 bit and 64 bit releases.)

its practilly my fault....Ive been SO busy trying to grasp everything when it comes to emulation...I think I created a monster....People where I am at are seeing me doing this "hobby" and they are wanting to learn more... at the same time I am forgetting the "basics"
Also I am trying to comprehend and figure out Hyperspin...been so busy with it the past weeks....I'm forgetting MAME...
And now...After I finish, I have 9 more emulators and rom sets that I have to try and figure out also....
Ok...now correct me on this....UI 32 is for older computers to XP....and I guess UI64 is for Vista onward...or did I suffer a stroke and I am now realising it?
If I am wrong on that assumption...then what is the difference between the two?

sound good to me.
except there is a vista for 32
and a vista for 64
one thing, its up to if you have a 32 bit CPU or a 64 bit CPU
notice how PC componits multiply by 2
64 meg
128 meg
256 meg
512 meg
same is with 32 bit and 64 bit
Thats how I see it

64 bit mameUI only if you have a 64 bit OS (vista64, xp64, etc), which requires a 64 bit CPU of course. (All mainline CPUs are 64 bit capable now.)
So if you have the basic vista, which is 32 bit, you have to use ui 32, too. Also, you can run UI 32 on a 64 bit OS if you want, even though UI 64 will give you ! 20% speed increase.
To sum up, UI 32 for all modern OSs, UI 64 only for 64 bit OSs.
