I have the Treasure cove polish kit & used it with great success before.
The problem is my sponges are all tore up & now its replacement time.
Harbor freight had them at one time but not any more from what I can find, does anyone know where I can get such items @ "non pinball related prices"?
Something like this: http://www.pinrestore.com/PolishingKits.html
Thanks!

Sears?
eBay?

Update: http://www.topoftheline.com/micfoampolpa.html
They shipped 3 black, 3 yellow & 1 sheep for $2.88
I was invoiced $7 but they sent back the rest, nice!

Great find!

Good Deal.
Do you use this for regular clean up? Just wondering how hard it is to use some electric like that with a full PF? Any splatter?
-
First take everything apart, everything, even the posts & pop bumpers & then really clean it good several times.
FYI: The leafs at the sling shots will bend & destroy the sponge so take those out too, don't be lazy.
The more of the stuff you use the more it splatters so dont use too much & work it in before hitting high speeds.
Also you can use masking tape on certain areas too, he includes a dvd..........perhaps I could split it up into parts & post it on youtube but its really straight forward.

Sounds good for a project pin but not for me. I stick with ol' elbow grease. ;)
I bet it works great though!

Visitor, I believe your pin has already been polished by the exact same process: http://www.treasure-cove.net/PolishingKit.htm
Didn't you get the MB from TC?
But yeah this isn't something you will have to worry about for another 5 years since your MB is now HUO from this point on.
-
No, I got my MB from a private sale.
-
Oh, whoops.
-
Oh, whoops.
No worries, I am taking it as a compliment. :)
-
Ahh I thought you said you acquired it from TC but you just made a reference to TC for price comparison.
Sometimes I read too fast........you know I thought is was odd there was red carpet & a racer, Alan doesn't have a basement & I know his living room isnt full of toys like that, I shudda known eh?
-
Seems like an honest mistake to me.
Have you purchased from Alan before, any pins?
-
Yeah my JP came from him.
Its wasn't a clear coated full on TC restore, just a super clean customer trade in he didn't have to do anything to.
I think he just decided it was more so worth his time to work on the AFM he had 50% completed when I picked up my JP. He sold the AFM for over $9k so he chose wisely it appears.

I think the guy does amazing work but I think the people who buy his stuff have more $$$ than sense. :dunno
Personally can't justify those prices, but that is a matter of MY opinion but I will not argue with the quality of work. I know he is good at what he does. :notworthy:
It's a personal battle of me not being rich. ;D
