;D
That makes me anger, it doesn't amuses nobody! >:(
That should be ME! ;D
-
I wonder if that's Toby McGuire's brother. :)
-
Burger Time, Crystal Castles, Battle ZOne.. Revenge of something- is that Shinobi? Looks like a Mario Bros on the back, plus whatever other pirate booty he's got..
There's be room for that in my house. Especially since I'd get booted out :)

Dude, if that's your girlfriend, she's UUUUUGLY!.
-
What that pic should have read like:
16 foot rental trailer, $65
120 feet of rachet-straps, $30
9 classic arcade games from the 80s, $2700
Look on the dude's face when he realizes he could have built his own Mame cabinet (with help from BYOAC) for less than $800...priceless!

LOL! I think the guy's happy enough with his day already! ;D

I think a more accurate caption would be:
"The look on your cats face when you get home with new scratching posts - priceless!"
There ain't no way that guy is gonna have a girlfriend after that (if he don't already) :)

I love my cat but she would be a pile of fuzzy ash if she tried something like that. :P j/k

That has the smell of a bulk buy. The guy probably laid out $500 - $1000 for that trailer full of games. Very few collectors will buy multiple games at "full price" at the same time. Plus, that conversion game in there is a dead giveaway that he bought them all in one lot. If he was picking and choosing, he probably would not have chosen that one (collectors of 80s games largely HATE late 80s conversion games). I only buy conversion games if they are coming with something else, or if I am getting a bunch of them for cheap (bought a lot of 7 Final Fights, Street Fighter 2's, etc for $450 once, sold them all later).
Also, the multigame.com url leads me to believe that it is Clay Cowgill in that picture, and he CERTAINLY knows about Mame, and is one of the smartest arcade techs around, and thus is not going to be paying full price.

no way - THE Clay Cowgill??(not sarcasm BTW) That guy is THE vector game guru. Thought he was older, tho....

A bit of quick research.
Those are Clay Cowgill's games. But that isn't Clay in the picture, it is his friend Matt. And Clay IS fairly young (about 33-34).
Here is the only actual picture of Clay I could find, and it is a bit dated.

Here is another of Clay. A little more recent.

Clay is cool, as are his multigame kits. He's the kind of technical collector that anyone who admires collecting of authentics would be happy to be compared with. He also owns/operates a classic-games arcade/club (though his biggest earner is SFII and Raiden :P), and appears to make an alright living buying/selling his games/kits. If you want to see lots of pictures etc, leverage the power of groups.google.com and search rgva*.
