Anybody got a manual for a Rock N Bowl by chance ?
http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=flyer&db=arcadedb&id=1243&image=1
I'm specifically looking for how to set the ticket payout for the face value of each "pin".
I was helping with one that is paying out like three times what it's supposed to.
Just figured I'd throw this out there, I know a few of ya'll work in arcades with redemption stuff.
Haven't gotten ahold of Bromley themselves yet and their site is worthless at the moment.

THREE views and no response yet !?!?
(OK, so I'm just bored) :dunno

Holly crap, no i don't have it but I used to play that alot in Lake Geoge,NY in Playland arcade i think it was called, thanks for the memories!~
In the background of this photo you see rock n' bowls.. http://www.bromley-inc.com/service.html maybe contact them and they will send you a .pdf for free.

It does have kinda cool music to it. ;D
I tried their e-mail, but hadn't heard anything back.
So today I'll just try and call them and see what they have.
EDIT:
The one guy that has all the information I need is out until Monday.
Which is also the guy that would have received my earlier e-mail.
Sooooo .... anyone got a manual ? :laugh2:

oof, had one of these at my old arcade. If they weren't closed for the off season I'd call and find out for you.
I'd think Todd would be the man to talk to over at Bromley, but I don't see why one of the other guys couldn't pull up a manual and tell you how to do it.
oh to think that at one time bromley had games worth putting into arcades :P

Thanks for trying though.

Yeah, It was Todd I was trying to get a hold of...... another fella tried to find some information for me, but apparently couldn't find it. So I guess I'll have to hold off until Monday.
Which kinda sucks because it's on the game floor and works fine other than the ticket payout count being too high.
And I'll be damn if I'm going to sit through a few thousand tickets and game plays trying to find the right combination.
This place supposedly used to have the manual for it, but of course it's not in the filing cabinet with the rest of the manuals.
Ah well...... gotta love working on the obsolete.

Well, I put off buying a manual simply because it's not my machine, figure they could get one if they want it.
But......
Finally got a hold of someone at Bromley that could help and they sent me some information and after looking at the machine again with that info it all made sense.
There are two switches that are either turned on or off depending on which plastic payout pieces is in place. It's the plastic shield that sits right in front of the pins and also has the numbers on it. (100, 10, 15, 50, etc) There's four to choose from, different ones have slots in the plastic sheet on either end that tell the switch to be OFF, if there is no slot the switch will be held ON.
So a combination of left switch on or off, right switch on or off, both switches on or both switches off will determine the payout option. (basically a maximum payout per game is what it boiled down to actually)
Anyways...
I'll attach what they sent me if for whatever reason someone else is looking for it.
Cheers

not that i need the pdf but the link didn't seem to work for me
-
Hmmm... don't know what's going on.
All I did was attach it to upload to the forum like always, but just tried it again and it still doesn't work.
:dunno
If anyone wants it they can always e-mail me..... we'll figure out what's going on with the upload later.

Hey I just say you needed a manual for this game and sent you an email if you are still needing it just reply to my email and i will scan and send it to you in a .pdf format. I Understand completely with your feeling of hopelessness after trying to deal directly with Bromley. I too have tried contacting them in regards to replacement parts for games that they have manufactured and was totally disappointed with the interaction that i had with them. The worst part is that the game i was inquiring about was only 4 years old. I bought it in the after market and was told that since i wasn't on file with the company that any service required for the game should be done in the aftermarket as well. I am a DIY'er for one reason there is no one in my region who can or is willing to work on these games, in the rare occasion I can find someone to work on these they want in excess of $80.00 an hr and rarely fix them correctly.

Please upload such things to the file repository :) http://files.arcadecontrols.com (http://files.arcadecontrols.com)
