Anyone seen the new Street Fighter movie yet?
Was wondering if it was worth going to see,
or wait for a rental,
or wait for it to be on cable
or file it under "rubbish".
:dunno

It takes a really special movie to get a 0% on rottentomatoes. I haven't seen it, but I hear it may have gone over the edge where it's so bad it's funny.
-
I shamefully admit I was super excited to see Van Damme's Street Fighter. Even I , at the young age of 13 or so, thought that movie sucked donkey balls. There is no way in hell I would make that mistake again.
Dude...it's called "The Legend of Chun Li", how good could it be?
And BTW, in IGN's review they state that the 1st Street Fighter movie is Oscar material compared to this one.

The trailer looks horrible. They didn't even feel confident enough to license the actual proper logo

Yeh I saw the movie and let me just be the first to say.. I laughed so hard. This wasn't just any kind of suck. This film took a special kind of suck to mess up a movie about a "half japanese" woman playing chun-li seeking revenge on a irish guy playing m. bison.. What they would do is basically hint at a cool fight scene then do everything they could do to avoid it lasting more than a minute. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it.. I thought Chris Kleins (American Pie) acting was hilarious. I just couldn't take him serious. WHY DOES HE KEEP GETTING WORK?? And how random is it that the same guy who played Liu Kang from MK is Gen in SF! And oh yes, his lines were so cheesy but he can't be entirely blamed for what he's being payed to say.. plus.. it's all about the cheeeese. If you like laughing and having a good time, I would say yes, go see this movie with friends and expect it to be better than DOA but just about even with MK Annhilation. I give this movie 2 middle fingers up :applaud:

I remember seeing an interview with the guy who plays Vega and they asked him how was it adding Matador type moves to martial arts and his response was that he's no longer a matador in the movie so the issue never came up.

-
"NASH OUT!" alone was worth my money :laugh2: it does have some comedic value. see it with some friends trust me you wont regret it.

Uwe Boll? No, but it might as well have been.
-
Poor SF.... what have you done to deserve this?
-
I have to say that the SF movies are disrespectful to the game franchise why Capcom would ever allow the movies to exist is beyond me consider how much pride they put into making their games. Even the RE movies are the same way
-
No, the RE movies are at least watchable and way better made.
-
while first RE movie is watchable but still strays to much from the story of the game the second and third one are just zombie movies with the RE name attached and again are a disgrace to the Game
-
I thought the first one was not bad...cirtanly one of the better video game to movie attempts out there currently. I missed the second one having heard it was...well...meh.
But I saw the third and liked it well enough. What's not to like about zombies and Mia? Mmmm!
-
nothing wrong with mia still liked her better in the 5th element the orange hair who could want more
-
Mila's best role is in the movie "Dummy" with Adrian Brody

5th Element is awesome...and she's awesome in it.
Mila's best role is in the movie "Dummy" with Adrian Brody
Now I must go rent this movie.
