Title: Track n Field (mame) High Score issue

I'm having a problem with highscores for Track n Field on mame. Every score saves fine except for the 100m and hurdles. The high scores for those 2 are reset to 00.00.00 so it never even lets you get a high score. Is there a different rom to get or way around this? Besides actually buying the real track n field! hhahah The cocktail version of track n field is one of my grails! Love it..

Sorry to drag this up again. But for anyone having the same issue I've written a little utility to enable you to hack the high scores tables. 

Basically, if you've played for a while and have scores you want to keep (but get the 100m and hurdles times saving correctly) you can now re-enter your current scores after fixing the problem.  You could also use it to set the world records to something reasonable (or enter the real world record scores). 

I'll post a link once I've uploaded it.

Just wondering if you ever posted your utility?   I don't really want to lose my high scores but I want it to work properly...

Not sure about the utility wweumina was going to create, but HiToText can actually do this. It's one by one, but it works. The HiToText thread is usually on the first page of this forum, or the link in my signature.

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't realise anyone was waiting.  The utility is done and works perfectly.  I just can't find my usb stick that it is saved on.  I've got a backup copy at work so I'll grab it tomorrow and put it up then.

I know this is an old thread but it would be great if anyone has a copy of the Tool made by wweumina for editing the high score nvram.

If anyone still has this could they please post a link?

I would like to use it to set the default high scores a bit more realistic.

7 years on, and this doesn't seem to work anymore.  The files are in nvram/trackfld/nvram files, and the script is looking for trackfld.nv

Would be great if someone with the skills could make it work again!
