Title: BYO X-Arcade
Post by: xonix_digital on February 01, 2009, 05:27:11 pm
Hey guys,

I've done a bit of searching but came up empty handed.
Anyone use the BYO X-Arcade board for a project?

I am wondering about how you hook up the buttons/joysticks etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think somewhere on the site it says the kit comes with the wires needed and are also labeled for easy hookup. Hope this helps! :)

Yeah I bought the set. Just got it today.
Looks like its gonna be a piece of cake!

It came with solderless connections on all of the wires so they just hook up to the microswitches.
Then those wires go to different sets of connectors that hook into the board.

Epic!

I'll post pics when i get it hooked up.

you might want to invest in a IPAC later on I don't recommend anything from X-Arcade.

If you're looking for a console solution, the Xarcade encoder is actually very nice.  It's about the only thing I'd buy from them personally, but your statement is a bit off in my opinion as the Ipac isn't a console solution without other options.

I'd use hacked pads over the X-Arcade as the X-Arcade has been to have input lag issues in some scenarios.

I agree with MrMojoz Hacked pads are the way to go with game consoles and as for X-Arcade everyone knows the Encoder has lag issues so why bother with it?
