Title: Sega Model 2 Emulator v 0.9 now out!
Post by: TAG on January 30, 2009, 11:15:35 am
For those who may not know, the new version of the Model 2 emulator was released yesterday with lots of changes.  I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it looks like there's some good stuff in the new release!

Yeah it looks great...

Anyone know what PC spec is required to get full speed? Would the ArcadeVGA PCIe version work? I think it would, but confirmation would be good.

Not that I have a decent enough PC or graphics card, but it could be worth an upgrade...

I'm running version .8a at (what appears to me to be) full speed on a P4 3.0 w/ a Radeon 9800, so I'm hoping the new version hasn't upped the ante too much!

It looks like a lot of the roms have been updated...  I just tested a couple games and previous working games are now showing missing files in this version.

The readme file indicated that the new version changed the romsets to match MAME as much as possible, so I guess that's no surprise.  I wonder if the separate model2 rom is still needed, or if it needs updating, too?
