Title: XBOX 360 remote
Post by: sju4sju on January 28, 2009, 06:51:47 pm
I was just checking Wikipedia, where I read about the 360's accessories, and noticed this about the Universal Media Remote: "All remotes allow basic control of games".

Then I thought they might be hackable for joysticks piggybacking, but then again maybe not, because it uses infrared.. Does anyone here own a 360 remote? Is it possible to send more than one button signal at once? Like "up+right+A".

i have the xbox 360 themed logitech harmony remote, i'll test it out later..but i dont believe the remote will work for normal gameplay.  the xbox guide button works and once the menu is up, the remote works...but i dont think it allows for gameplay via the remote

The remote works for some Live Arcade games, but I have yet to see any retail games that it works on (Maybe it does for Scene-it).

I know for a fact that it works for UNO, but that is the only game I personally have actually played with it.
