I'm in the middle of converting an old neo geo cab into a mame cab and I have a quick question about how to power the arcade monitor.
Can I just run the power wires from the monitor down into the monitor transformer box and then out to the female plug on the back of the cab and then from there just plug in a power cord to house power or a powerbar?
==edit (I will be removing the original main power supply entirely) edit==

you don't need the power supply for the monitor but you DO NEED the isolation transformer.

Ok so my power wires from the monitor do go to the transformer first, and then from there can I just route them through to the female power plug on the back of the cab? And then from there just use a standard power cable to the house power outlet?

Yup.
The monitor uses regular 120V AC current (well, in North America). The only thing needed is the isolation transformer. Other than that, you're good to go.

Thx johnny! I actually pulled out all the extra wires and the old power supply last night. So all I have left is the wires I need for the moniter power. Spent a good couple hours pulling it apart and cleaning it up to get ready for the jpac and pc. Thx for the needed assistance..I don't want to start a fire or kill myself haha..
I'm also going to need to power the coin door lights, was thinking of just using a 12v battery pack. Could I just use a 12v power plugin and splice it into onto the coin door light power wires? Any certain amperage I should use if that would work?
