.... I Need tons of artwork!!
-
Thanks MrClean, that is a great start. I will try to use that to have someone help me vector, at least the rygar logo and tecmo "pots". :)
-
Nevermind MrClean, I just saw how big the jpg was, perfect!!!!!!!thanks again for you assist.
-
Thanks to McClean, here is the pic of the panel after art and plexi applied, ...Kinkos, matte paper, $14.30!!!
-
sweet... ive used kinkos before for printing marquees, ive never thought to do a control panel it's hard to judge from the picture.. how did you apply the artwork ??
-
I applied using the same water based contact cement I used on the laminate on the cabinet. It is great for paper. Dont use too much tho, apply, let set up for 5-10 min a thin layer on each, used pencils underneath it, started in the middle, rolled out, pulled pencil by pencil, took 4 minutes to apply, plexi on top, looks golden.....thanks again man. Hard as hell to find that side art......still looking....

Just one more try, anyone got any RYGAR side art? NOS would be great, but anything would do, the photos I have found are maybe not good enough to Vector? I dont know, I dont have the software to try either........jsut thought I would holler at yall to see..... :dunno
-
I have various vector software send me the sideart that you have
-
Well, I cant find anything close to remotely use on the machine, I have a few pictures but they are grainy shot at an angle. I did find a clear logo to use, just the "RYGAR" text shot below, and I am thinking this might be the best possible substitute. I assume this is much eaier to vector but I have no idea, I will let you be the judge. I sent some messages to some folks to take pics several times but no luck. Attached is the flyer art, and that or the CPO logo you sent me coud be vectored I guess, if someone were to do this would it take a long time? I am not sure asking someone to invest a ton of time on my behalf is fair.....as I do not have this skill to assist others...

this is just the flyer dropped into "Vector Magic", and then scaled up 300% in Adobe Illustrator. Personally I think that this file needs to be cleaned up.. but if you can find any thing maybe it will help.

I think I mighta cropped the artboard wrong on the .ai file let me know if it's a problem.. but the eps file is the vector file unscaled and you just need to scale it.

Hey guys, new here, but I am in the process of cleaning the entire Rygar set. I have the marquee about 80% done, (see below). I have the bezel & CPO still to do. Aparently no one has the side art scanned. So, I will make it from scratch if all goes well. I estimate this all to be done by March 15th.
I should have the complete set available for download on that date.

mrclean: thanks my friend, I dont have image software to even open vector files on this computer, my buddy will resize for me tomorrow: I really appreciate the helping hand. I hope to pay it forward some how.....
Sean: I have the marquee and cpo (thanks to Mr Clean) done on my cabinet, I will post pics soon, but those look great. That damn side art is hard to even get a photo of for some reason. When you get that done I will be excited to see the results, my cabinet has really turned out well and the art will set it off, so godspeed my friend, you are apparently reviving a dead artifact.......

I have about 4 good side art pics for reference. I am going to take the dragon statue from the bezel and lay it overtop the Rygar arcade flyer, of course after it is all cleaned and photoshoped....
I'll have it ready soon. I have asked most of the commercial art printing sites for a scanned copy of the side art, but no one has it. After Im done, the whole set will be finally available for everyone.
I believe people would make, build and buy way more arcades if there were complete sets of artwork available and not spread across dozens of websites.... Someone needs should collect all of the correct artwork, pack it into sets and make it available for download at a single location.
(Hmmmmm, gives me an idea.)

Not sure if it's still free, and no software download is needed.. but try out :
http://vectormagic.com/home, online on their website.. if you like the software buy it.

Well, I have live trace for adobe illustrator, after running it through several dozen times, the flyer always comes out looking terrible. The whole thing will have to be photoshoped by hand. This is why I gave myself till mid next month. It will take a little while, but once it is done, it will be well worth the wait.

Sean-o,
if you have a side art pics, post your best one, I may try to have my friend play around with it alittle, thanks man, cant wait till you are finished....

They are too small to do anything with. They're both like 6kb. Just be patient. By March 15th, I'll have the side art done. You can wait till then right?
