Howdy all.
My wonderful wife got me 2 of the new topgun IIs for christmas and i'm having "fun" setting them up.
So far, i've been able to get it to calibrate, but as i approach the edges of the screen, the calibration becomes worse (i'm using a 31" CRT monitor). That's something that i'm going to be playing with tonight.
The question i have now is if anyone has tried sawing off part of the end of the barrel of the gun so that all of the LEDs can be seen at a closer distance.
I'd be willing to give it a shot if anyone around here hasn't tried it yet, but i would like to avoid damaging my guns if it's already been attempted.
Thanks,
Dave

I really would not do that as the sensor is located at the tip of the gun barrel. If you are wanting to reduce the distance then you will want to squeeze the leds on the led bar closer together. I got around this by moving them in by about an inch and then recalibrating.

when I had mine, I mounted them to the top and bottom, that let me stand about 5 feet away from the cab instead og 6 1/2
