Post by: Necroticart on December 29, 2008, 12:50:26 pm
Just to let you all know Target has a bunch of great games on sale for $39.99 this week including Fallout 3, MK VS DC Universe, and Prince of Persia

Since we're on the subject, it should be "than".   ;D   Just kidding.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up.

If you're a Target shopper, I recommend you keep an eye on the clearance endcaps in or near the electronics section.  If you're patient, you can find decent titles for 75% off.

I'm sorry, it's just a little pet peeve of mine, the whole sell vs sale thing.  BTW, no I don't have anything better to do.

P.S.
I wasn't on a mission to proof read anything.  The title of your post confused me a little with the sell where sale should be so I read the post.  Since I had already wasted some time figuring out what your post was supposed to be about I thought I might as well waste a little more of my own and your time by trying to educate.  ;D  Don't take it personally.

While we're on the subject of the sell vs sale argument, are you from the south by any chance?  I've noticed most people who confuse the two are and I guess I'm asking you as part of an informal survey of sorts.

I haven't encountered many "sell" vs. "sale" mix-ups.   I have encountered a million mix-ups of "two", "too" and "to", as well as "you're" and "your", "affects" and "effects" and "loose" and "lose".   And yes, I don't have anything better to do than point that out.  I'm waiting for for New Year's Eve to start.  Have a good one guys and be safe!
